Louet Drumcarders

Our drum carder is well designed and efficient to make your carding time productive, adjustment-free and enjoyable. The non-slipping gears are enclosed in a gearbox and require no additional lubrication or adjustment. The sides of the gearbox also serve to keep the fibers on the carder, away from the shafts and sides.

The extra long teeth 13mm (1/2") and the 25x19mm wide (10"x8" wide) drum allow this carder to produce thicker and longer batts than conventional carders.

Louet Roving Carder Junior

The batts produced on this 10 cm (4”) wide carder weigh as much as the batts produced on a traditional full size carder. The higher teeth, 13 mm (1/2”) and the greater diameter 25 cm 10”) make this possible.
The carder gets its name from the 10 cm (4”) wide roving like batts it produces. The drum size is 25 x 10 cm wide (10” x 4” wide). The fine cloth has 14 teeth p/cm2 (46 teeth./sq inch). Otherwise identical to the drum carder, this instrument is a powerful tool for all spinners and felters alike. Weight: 6 kg (13 lb).

Louet Electric Drumcarder (with motor)

The Electric carder, comes only with a fine carding cloth, built in motor 120V, 370W, carding speed: 90rpm,V-belt driven. A switch is located on the front panel. The drums are covered with a sliding transparent lid during the carding. It weighs approx. 50lb and stands on buffers.

The Electric carder is suitable for all fibers and lends itself to effortless, two hand feeding. The carder comes with a doffer brush, doffer pin, and wrench. Dimensions: 19.5"x12"x18"
